| Technical Consultant Bob Ballard's ending note:
Hello, I’m Bob Ballard, Director for the Center for Marine Exploration at Woods Hole. In 1979 we discovered the black smokers you saw in this week's episode, in 9,000 feet of water. The water is hot enough to melt lead, and contains toxic gas which support exotic bacteria. Bacteria scientist are trying to use to process the pollution we create. See you on the next adventure of seaQuest. |
