When seaQuest goes on a search for a missing submarine full of French school children, Ford, Lucas, Dr. Westphalen, and Kreig’s rescue sub begins to sink dramatically to the ocean floor. In order to survive, they must jettison everything they can, on the rescue sub. They are forced to abandon the rescue sub for a life raft.
To make matters worse, a major storm, soon to be a hurricane, is growing on the surface above. Bridger has to decide if he should continue the search for the missing sub full of school kids, or rescue his crewmates stuck in the middle of a hurricane in a raft.

| Technical Consultant Bob Ballard’s ending comments:
Hello, I’m Bob Ballard from the Woods Hole Oceanic Institution. Sink holes are very common in the ocean’s floor off Florida. A large one was recently discovered near Tampa Bay. In fact, our submersible, Alvin, came across one in fifteen hundred feet of water, south of the Florida Keys. The sub dropped down inside the sink hole several hundred feet before returning safely to the surface. See you on the next exciting adventure of seaQuest DSV. |
