seaQuest DSV: Whale Song

SeaQuest is ordered to search out and destroy a renegade activist submarine which is sinking whaling ships in the North Sea, which are breaking UEO laws. Bridger is conflicted about the order, and promptly resigns his command. Bridger tells Lucas he has to leave too. However, Lucas stows away to remain on the boat.

Bridger, upon learning who the renegade sub’s captain is, reclaims command of seaQuest and goes after someone who he once thought of as a friend, and whom he also thought was dead.

Episode Notes
Technical Consultant Bob Ballard’s ending comment:

Hello, I’m Bob Ballard from the Woods Hole Institution. The largest creature to ever roam the Earth was not a dinosaur; it’s the Blue Whale. And thanks to efforts to protect them, many species of whales once threatened with extinction are now making a comeback. Whales and dolphins, like Darwin, are the smartest creatures in the ocean. They once lived on land, but returned to the sea, and we have much to learn from them as we look to the sea for our future. Join me on the next exciting adventure of seaQuest DSV.
