Lt. Ford, while on shore leave, sees a woman, who when he tries to talk to her, swims out and under the shore in front of him, not to resurface. As seaQuest investigates this incident, they learn that an maverick scientist, once thought dead, is continuing his outlawed experiments on creating perfect humans. The scientist, Abalon, has created humans who can breath under water and have longer life’s.

When Lt. Ford is captured by Abalon, and becomes his new test subject, seaQuest must do everything in their power to rescue him, before the worse can happen.

Episode Notes

Technical Consultant Bob Ballard’s ending comments:

Hello, I’m Bob Ballard from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. The deepest point on Earth is called “Challenger Deep.” It’s situated off the island of Guam in thirty five thousand, eight hundred and ten feet of water. The pressure at this depth is approximately eight tons per square inch. In 1960 two people inside the bathyscaph Trieste set the world’s deep diving record when they returned safely from this great depth. Join me on the next exciting adventure of seaQuest DSV.
