On the music front, the Ramones, the B-52’s, and Joe Johnson received heavy play time. The popular movies of 1979 are Hair and The Amityville Horror, while sports fans were introduced the sports network ESPN and The White Shadow and Trapper John, M.D. were the popular television dramas of the year.
