1971 saw television successes in The Flip Wilson Show, The Dick Cavett Show, and Hollywood Squares and movie successes of Billy Jack and The French Connection. Malibu Barbie became extremely popular with America’s girls while boys became huge fan of Supercombs and Toughskin jeans. The music industry was dealt a blow with the death of Jim Morrison and soon saw the popularity of K-Tel compilations and Jethro Tull rise to high levels.
