"Player$" is a combination reality, gaming and talk show that premiered on 1 May 2002 on the G4 TV Cable Network, which is short for the Gaming Network. It is classified by some as a game show but the people in it don’t win prizes unless they play a money game with their own money in Reno, Las Vegas or wherever. Also considered a talk show so to speak because the host goes around interviewing different people every week. It is not a scripted show per say so it would be also considered almost a reality type show. So you kind of get 3 shows all rolled into one. The hosts goes wherever the big money "player$" are that week to interview the celebrities and the rich and famous from all walks of life on their gaming habits and techniques. Some of the fields that celebrities came from are Film, Music, Political, Radio, Sports, TV and many others. Some others included not only the Rich and Famous but also included the not so famous but very, very rich. The crew of the show will go almost anyplace on their “Tour Bus” to interview people such as on a Casino floor, at a Studio Back Lot, in their Home, etc. The main co-hosts were a combination of “Cobi Jones”, “Dorothea Coelho”, “David R. Harris” and “Samantha Harris”. “Tony Jacobsen” joined the cast in the 3rd and final season as the show’s Narrator. The series aired 58 original episodes over 3 seasons with the final show airing on 10 December 2004.
