This sitcom recounts the occurrences of the Quinn family. The father, Dr Sam Quinn, is a surgeon who has prodded his wife, Molly, to earn a degree. She follows the advice and graduates as a lawyer. This situation alters family life, for Sam feels the parents are less seen. The three other members of the family, two young children, Lisa and Eddie, and Mama, the grandmother, feel the consequences of the parents' decision.
