Jason Bateman stars as Jake, a high-end lawyer who leaves his job to become a school teacher. His roommate/best-friend/law partner Nick finds great pleasure in Jake's pain, and winds up narrating his buddy's life. At school, Jake has romantic chemistry with fellow teacher Liza; he's annoyed by self-proclaimed comedian Seissner, as well as Kimmy, the airhead school secretary/assistant of domineering Vice Principal Curtis.
Seven episodes of the show were produced by NBC to premiere in the fall of 2002, but it was axed before it had even begun. In 2006, NBC's sister network Bravo began showcasing the series as part of their Brilliant but Cancelled block, and episodes are available to watch at brilliantbutcanceled.com. |
