|
A pole vaulter, a golfer, a baseball player – all fall victim to equipment failures, in each case, an umbrella-themed mishap. Batman and Robin realize immediately that their old foe The Penguin must be after the diamond-studded All Around Athlete's Belt, but when they capture him and bring him to justice, they discover someone else has stolen the belt! Someone has framed the Penguin, who's now squawking mad about it and determined to put Batman behind bars! Then a joke clue arrives at the Batcave, leading the Dynamic Duo to suspect The Joker plans to rob Barry Beagle of his priceless Peruvian Pearl collection. And someone does steal the pearls, while The Joker is in custody! Faced with two false arrest charges, Batman's only chance to evade prison is to figure out what's really going on and then put a stop to it!

| (Batman has taken the Penguin into custody.)
Batman: And so, Commissioner, knowing the Penguin was planning to filch the diamond championship belt...
Commissioner Gordon: But that's impossible, Batman! That was just stolen from the safe not fifteen minutes ago!
| Batman: Commissioner, we're charging the Joker with plotting to steal Barry Beagle's Peruvian Pearl collection.
(The phone rings.)
Commissioner Gordon: Excuse me, Batman... (He answers the phone.) Hello? Yes... What?!? You sure?? (He hangs up.) That was comedian Barry Beagle! He has just been robbed of his Peruvian Pearl collection!
The Joker: Cowled crusader, you are in big trouble!
| The Joker: The Penguin and The Joker turned the Dynamic Duo into a Dopey Duet! (He laughs insanely.)
| The Penguin: I only stunned you to save you for this exquisite moment, Dynamic Duo! That batting cage behind you is really electrical wiring. Buried directly under each home plate directly beneath you is a ton of TNT, wired directly to the batting cage. If... you miss one ball thrown by these automatic pitchers, it will make contact with the cage, and blooie! Your final strikeout!
