The Adventures of Batman: A Bird Out of Hand

Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson return home from a charity ball. As they pass through Gotham Park, a felled tree blocks their way and two men accost them, seeking money. But who should come to their rescue? None other than The Penguin, pudgy purveyor of perfidy! He claims to be reformed, and making amends for past misdeeds, but Bruce and Dick are not convinced. Batman's instincts are rarely wrong, but in the days that follow The Penguin captures crooks and bandits left and right. Has the mischievous magpie gone straight? Or has he concocted some devious plan that requires the appearance of upright behavior? Batman must decide, and quickly.

Episode Quotes
The Penguin: Mr. Wayne, I am a reformed man, making amends for past misdeeds. And what better way to do it than by aiding the doves of law against the hawks of crime?
Bruce Wayne: (whispering to Dick) That oily bird must be up to something!
Dick Grayson: Yeah... but what?

Robin: Can you believe... the Penguin on our side?
Batman: Let's wait and see, Robin. I still don't trust that mischievous magpie!

The Penguin: You cuckoo bird! How stupid do you think Batman is?
Criminal: But I made sure he wasn't following me!
The Penguin: (removing a transmitter from the man's shirt pocket) Sparrow head! Who do you think planted this radar transmitter on you?

Batman: We'll have to find The Penguin a new nest to feather.
Robin: Yeah! One with bars on it!
