SOKO 5113

SOKO 5113 is a long-running German weekly Crime-Drama that began airing on January 2, 1978. This show has held consistently high numbers over the last 30 years. The number 5113 in the show's title represents the direct-inward phone dialing number to reach the commissioner of SOKO.
This series has been so popular over the years that in 2001 a group of spin-offs began to air. Some of these are titled SOKO Köln, SOKO Leipzig, SOKO Wismar, SOKO Rhein-Main, and SOKO Wien and SOKO Kitzbühel" from Austria. In 2008, Wilfried Klaus who plays Horst Schickl was the last original cast member, who left the show after 390 episodes and 30 years.
