| The series was a celebrity version of the popular X Factor show. Kate Thornton hosted the series. Like like the regular series the judges had to mentor the acts in their category of the competition and one was eliminated each night.
An early favourite to win the series was Chris Moyles who was mentored by Simon Cowell. The person who gained the most confidence throughout the series was Lucy Benjamin. It came as a bit if a surprise when Chris was eliminated at the semi final stage of the competition leaving Lucy Benjamin and Matt Stevens to battle it out in the final.
Lucy triumphed after a tense battle and became the first female winner of The X Factor.
