English Page
This is the English-dubbed page to Ninja Scroll: The Series, directed by Jack Fletcher. It was released in Japan as the unofficial sequel to the anime film, Ninja Scroll (1993), then later dubbed in English. Although the dubbed episodes never aired on any US stations, it was released on 3 separate DVDs.
The story continues the journeys of mercenary ninja Jubei Kibagami fourteen years after he defeated Himuro Genma, the immortal warrior, and stopping the Shogun of the Dark. With feudal Japan as the setting, not much has changed for Jubei and his quest to find a peaceful place to live, until one day he interferes with a fight between two warring clans, the Hiruko and the Kimon. He now finds himself in possession of a very sacred artifact, the Dragon Stone. A dying Hiruko ninja tells him he must deliver the stone to the Light Maiden. Confused and constantly on the run from ninjas seeking the mysterious artifact, Jubei is joined by the government spy Dakuan, the young thief Tsubute, and the beautiful girl, Shigure, who's village was destroyed by the Kimon.
