1 :01x01 - Tragedy in the Hidden Village (Sep/02/2003)
While resting, Jubei's nap is interrupted by a brawl between two ninja clans at war, who both want an object called the Dragon Stone. The next morning Jubei finds himself wandering in an isolated, harmless looking town. When several ninjas arrive and begin to attack the village, Jubei learns he must deliver this sacred stone to a woman called the Light Maiden.

2 :01x02 - Departure (Sep/02/2003)
Jubei realizes how difficult his life is going to be while in possession of the Dragon Stone. He attempts to rest in an abandoned town, but is attacked by several ninjas who all want the sacred stone. He defeats them and continues his search for the Light Maiden. Meanwhile, Shigure wanders away from her destroyed village and meets a young thief and an old monk.

3 :01x03 - Forbidden Love (Sep/02/2003)
Two ninjas are in pursuit of the Light Maiden, a brother and sister from the Kimon clan. They quickly find Shigure, along with her new friends, Dakuan and Tsubute. After a brief encounter they seek refuge in an old shack from the unrelentless ninjas. There they find a resting Jubei, who gives some insight to the Dragon Stone, which Tsubute now secretly makes plans to steal.

4 :01x04 - Broken Stone (Sep/02/2003)
While camping for the night, Tsubute steals the Dragon Stone from a sleeping Shigure. Thankfully, Jubei has been watching over the Light Maiden and sees this. After confronting Tsubute and retrieving the mysterious artifact, Jubei is attacked by a hidden ninja. He accidentally cuts the stone, splitting it in to two pieces. He manages to get one piece back but loses the other to the now fleeing ninja.

5 :01x05 - The Diamond Child (Feb/24/2004)
Jubei decides to offer his protection and joins Tsubute and Dakuan on their journey with Shigure, the Light Maiden. They soon encounter a ninja who keeps Jubei occupied, giving Tsubute enough time to steal the Dragon Stone from Shigure once again. While fleeing, he meets up with Tatsunosuke, a fellow struggling thief. They become friends, until Tatsunosuke decides to join the Kimon Clan.

6 :01x06 - Shelter From the Rain (Feb/24/2004)
Separated from the others, Jubei is stuck in the rain after a ferry is shutdown for the night and the town's inn is full. He starts to travel to the next town but is ambushed by Nenmu, a ninja who is able to take host in human bodies. After becoming poisoned by one of Nenmu's attacks, Jubei stumbles in to an abandoned house where a woman and her young son are, but can he trust them?

7 :01x07 - Blossom (Feb/24/2004)
While Dakuan and Tsubute watch over Shigure, Azami returns and intends to steal the second half of the Dragon Stone. At the same time, a Kimon ninja, Kawahori, sends his bats to attack Shigure and claim the sacred stone for himself. Jubei arrives and protects them, then hands the Dragon Stone off to Dakuan while he searches for Azami and her half of the stone.

8 :01x08 - The Fate of Rengoku (Feb/24/2004)
Shigure, Tsubute, and Dakuan approach a large mountain blocking their path. They hear rumors of a monster terrorizing those who travel along it, and decide it would be safer to travel around it. Jubei, on the other hand, travels through and encounters the monster; Rengoku. She's back and is seeking revenge on Jubei for the murder of her brother.

9 :01x09 - A Dragon Within (Jun/29/2004)
In a tragic tale of life's misfortunes we meet Zofu, a Hiruko ninja who shares his body with an unwanted parasite. He saves Shigure from several members of the Yagyu Family. The Yagyu are now the most trusted of the Shogun's clans, who are out to kill her in order to stop the Kimon and Hiruko from unlocking the Lost Dynasty's treasure. Zoufu explains to Shigure why she is the Light Maiden and what her role is in the Hiruko Clan's plan to free themselves.

10 :01x10 - The Heart of the Hiruko (Jun/29/2004)
While traveling together, Jubei and Shigure are attacked by a large number of Kimon ninjas. Jubei is overtaken by them and tells Shigure to run. Out of nowhere, a small and harmless looking Hiruko ninja named Rokai arrives and defends Shigure, then takes her to safety. Yamidoro, one of the Kimon leaders arrives and begins searching for Rokai and the Light Maiden.

11 :01x11 - Yagyu Renya (Jun/29/2004)
Jubei, Tsubute, and Dakuan continue their search for the captured Shigure. Their path leads them to an ocean that they must cross in order to reach the Kimon Clan's base of operations. The ship has a few other passengers, including a small child and Renya; a mysterious man looking to take the scared Dragon Stone from Jubei. Things get even stranger as Renya's men and the ship's crew begin to die off one by one.

12 :01x12 - Dynasty Restoration (Jun/29/2004)
The Kimon Clan begins to near its destination as Jubei, Tsubute, and Dakuan follow closely behind. Renya's men attempt an attack on the caravan but fail. The Kimon Clan rests at nightfall but are quickly attacked by Jubei, Dakuan, and Tsubute, with help from the Hiruko Clan's ninjas and leader, Mufu. Dakuan rescues Shigure while Jubei manages to regain the stolen piece of the Dragon Stone and fuse them back in to one, whole piece.

13 :01x13 - Farewell Jubei (Jun/29/2004)
The final showdown between the Kimon Clan and Hiruko Clan seems to be at an end, with the Hiruko, along with Mufu, being wiped out. The Kimon are now ever closer to unlocking the treasure of the Lost Dynasty. Shigure beings to regain her memory and slowly starts to understand what her role as Light Maiden is.
