Strong contender for the title of "Worst Television Show of All-Time", Me and the Chimp starred Ted Bessell as a dentist who reluctantly allows his family to adopt a chimpanzee named Buttons and their ensuing misadventures. Anita Gillette, Scott Kolden, and Kami Cotler co-starred in the series which was fortunately put out of its misery by CBS after airing only 13 episodes. According to Hollywood lore, the show was originally entitled The Chimp and I but star Ted Bessell demanded he be billed ahead of the chimpanzee in the title thus the change.
