Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (The Moments the Cicidas Cry) is a Japanese murder mystery series that aired on TV Saitama. The show takes place in 1983 in a small village called Hinamizawa, and focuses on a group of friends. Despite the villages peaceful appearance, each year, a person is mysteriously murdered. The crimes eventually gets to the friends, and paranoia leads to even more murders.
