Water Rats: V.I.P.
A Vietnamese family are the victims of a home invasion in which their son is kidnapped, and Rachel and Frank are called upon to locate the kidnappers before their ransom deadline expires. Operation Terrier is launched for the Nemesis crew to clean out a warehouse which is full of homeless kids.

Rachel is waiting outside a house overlooking the water. The Nemesis crew arrives, along with Frank. Rachel tells them what happened - a home invasion, in which a young Asian man was shot by the owner of the house. Inside the house, Frank and Rachel talk to the owners, Mr and Mrs Diem. Mr Diem tells Frank what happened while Rachel looks at some photos and notices a young boy in them. She asks them where their son, Francis, is. Mr Diem is adamant that he is staying with friends, but Mrs Diem eventually tells them that the robbers wanted money and he's been kidnapped...Read the full recap

Guest star Terry Serio, who plays Con Vellis in both this and the next episode, went on to appear as three other characters throughout the series.
Though always listed in the credits as Radio Operator (played by Enrico Babic), the character's name is actually Rod.

Frank: Please. Not the police journal. Say you wouldn't do it to me?
Rachel: No shame in getting in touch with your emotions, Uncle Frank!
Rachel: No, it's a really good look. Fatherhood really suits you!
Frank: (to Francis) See that lady over there? She'd really like a cuddle!
