Morangos com Açúcar

Morangos Com Açúcar (=Sweet Strawberries) is a Portuguese telenovela that premiered in 2003 and since then has become one of the highest rated shows in Portugal and a popularity phenomenon amongst children and teenagers.

The story revolves around the everyday life of the teenagers and grownups of two schools at Cascais: Colégio da Barra, a private school, and Escola dos Navegantes, a public one.

The main plotlines are established during the school year, where follow the teens’ misadventures in both schools, which often clash with each other. The storylines are resolved during the summer vacation, when the show gains the subtitle Férias de Verão (=Summer Vacations). Each season features a different cast, although with some recurring actors, and the show is set to have seven seasons.
