Based on the 1987 Diane Keaton movie of the same name, Baby Boom focused on J.C. Wiatt, a single lawyer whose life changes when baby Elizabeth appears on her doorstep. Elizabeth was actually played by the same two girls who played the character in the film. J.C. desperately tried to juggle her job with her newfound motherhood, but found it difficult even though she had Helga, the nanny, for help.
