"Saiunkoku Monogatari" Summary

Shūrei Kō, the daughter of a government employee, longs to get a job inside of the imperial palace. However, when she is one day offered the job of becoming the emperor’s concubine, in hopes that she can tame the rebellious young man and make him into a proper ruler, she decides to accept the job.
