1 :01x01 - Triple Crown Cake

Meet Chef Duff Goldman and the Charm City Cakes team. The upcoming week is a busy one—the staff must crank out 21 decorative cakes including a special cake for the Preakness, one of the three biggest horse races in the world. Duff will be delivering the cake to the Maryland Jockey Club's VIP tent in the infield—no easy feat. The other main cakes we follow are the Jeep cake being done by Geof, and the Kasey Kruger wedding cake that Duff is creating for a college friend's wedding. Among the other "background" cakes for the week are an X-Box cake, a fish cake, a dentist cake (complete with gum paste dental instruments and teeth), a crazy pink-and-black cake and several other wedding cakes.

2 :01x02 - Hell Week

Hell week has arrived at Charm City Cakes! It's the busiest week of the summer, as Duff and his team are pushed to the limit—24 cakes in seven days. Lots of weddings over Memorial Day weekend. Duff and company have their Monday morning meeting to go over cakes for the week, assign cakes and troubleshoot potential problems. The main cakes of the week are a tequila bottle cake for some girls graduating from college, a replica of a German shepherd for a groom's cake, a four-tier deconstructed wedding cake for two men, and an elaborate four-tier wedding cake in which each tier represents a snapshot from a couple's many vacations. Another big cake for the week is a six-tier wedding cake.

3 :01x03 - Wedding Cakes & Headaches

Monday morning—Duff and the Charm City staff meet up to go over the cakes for the week. The cakes include a four-tier wedding cake based upon a knock-off drawing of the late artist Aubrey Beardsley, a cake shaped like a vintage hat for a woman's surprise 80th birthday, a massive wedding cake accompanied by 300 eight-layer cookies, and a surprise birthday cake for Duff's dad, who's coming into town from Florida.

4 :01x04 - Life's a Zoo

Duff is making a cake for Zoomerang, the annual benefit gala for the Maryland Zoo. This year's theme is Pink Flamingos, so he visits the zoo for inspiration. Duff makes a pair of flamingo cakes, explaining the difficulty of balancing a cake on the long, skinny legs of a flamingo. Geof invents a new dessert, the rice-krispie cannoli, to make the flamingos' beaks. The gang blows off steam at the end of a long week by dressing up and going to Zoomerang, where their cakes are a huge hit. Duff gets to collaborate with his old friend Warren Brown of Sugar Rush when a D.C. couple orders a Capitol-dome-shaped cake from Charm City that will sit on top of a cupcake tower from Cake Love. A bride orders an unusual groom's cake for her heavy-metal-loving fiance—a flaming Fist of Rock. Sherri must sculpt a realistic fist out of modeling chocolate and uses Duff's fist as a model.

5 :01x05 - Duff Goes Hollywood

The week starts with Duff giving cake-decorating lessons to a local troop of Brownies. Duff has been asked to make a crab-themed 50th birthday cake for Baltimore's most famous seafood restaurant, Phillips Harborplace. The gang decides to make a bushel (wooden barrel) of crabs with ears of corn around the base. Each crab has to be sculpted out of modeling chocolate and the barrel must be painted so it looks like wood. When Duff delivers the cake, he meets the Phillips family—and Mrs. Phillips bites into one of the ears of corn and is shocked to find it's not real but made of sugar. Duff has also been asked to appear on the Tonight Show, to make a birthday cake for Jay Leno. In Baltimore, Duff packs up, decides to take Geof, and figures out which tools he’ll need. Once they get to L.A., Duff and Geof must make the cake in their hotel room, with the help of Food Network Challenge's Mike McCary. Despite some setbacks along the way, the cake (and Duff) are a big success on the show. While Duff is in Los Angeles, he uses his power-tool skills on a Habitat for Humanity build and realizes a childhood dream when he goes to the Guitar Center on Sunset Boulevard and gets to play a bass that once belonged to Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

6 :01x06 - Cake Walk

A couple getting married at a local amusement park has ordered a cake for each table in the shape of a bumper car. But when the big day arrives, it's 100-plus degrees and humid–can the modeling chocolate on the cakes survive the heat? The Maryland Science Center has ordered a birthday cake, and Duff decides to make it in the shape of a dinosaur blowing out candles. The gang works out the specifics–which parts of the dinosaur will be rice krispies and which parts will be cake–and Duff takes the cake to the kids, who sing "Happy Birthday" to the dinosaur before digging in. The National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., has a new building, and Duff has been asked to make a cake to kick off its grand opening. Duff decides to make two cakes for the event–a Peach Tree Cake, which combines cake and metal sculpture, and a Mendhi Cake, with intricate piping.

7 :02x01 - Chi-Town and Wedding Gowns

Duff is up to his eyeballs in cakes as he and Geof build a replica of Wrigley Field for a man's 80th birthday. Duff drives 11 hours to deliver the cake in person. Richard creates the ultimate groom's cake — a 10-point buck for an avid hunter. It's also a week of weddings. Two of Mary Alice's friends are getting married and their cakes have to be extra special.

8 :02x02 - The Boss Is Gone

Duff is out of town for part of the week and all hell breaks loose for Mary Alice as she tries to answer crazy phone calls, crazier emails and even tries her hand at repairing a cake.

9 :02x03 - Great Scot

Duff dons a kilt to deliver a cow cake to a Scottish wedding. He even enlists the aid of a bagpiper to get into the mood. There's also a Sweet Sixteen cake, a magnolia-themed cake that poses major problems for the Charm City staff, and last but not least, a nervous customer orders a cake with which he plans to propose to his girlfriend. The engagement ring is actually located on the cake.

10 :02x04 - Four Weddings and a Rat

Two women are getting hitched and when it comes to their wedding cake, they’ve decided to mix traditional and non-traditional. One cake is a flowery, four-tier affair. The other is a Baltimore icon — a large rat perched upon a city manhole cover! Erica, one of Duff’s part-time decorators is getting hitched and she’s ordered an unusual wedding cake — a male and female owl perched on a branch. When one of the owls is in danger of collapsing, Richard performs emergency surgery with a wooden dowel and hammer. This bride and groom are from different cultures, and they want to celebrate that in their cakes — a giant Thai pagoda wedding cake for her and a cake replica of the Brooklyn Bridge for him. Geof must build another jeep for a groom’s cake.

11 :02x05 - Monkey Business

Duff and the staff at Charm City Cakes have a big monkey to get off their backs — King Kong! Drew Kramer’s bar mitzvah is Saturday and his parents have ordered a $2000 King Kong cake. The "Overseas Houston," a giant tanker, is being christened in Chesterfield, Pa., on Saturday. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the shipping company has ordered a giant replica of the tanker made of cake. They also want a champagne bottle made out of a cookie to christen the cake ship. Once the cake is built, Geof must transport it two hours to Chesterfield. Will the "Overseas Houston" survive the potholes between Baltimore and Chesterfield? A couple is getting married and the groom-to-be is a DJ. His fiancé is surprising him with a cake that looks like his beloved Technics turntable.

12 :02x06 - Tributes and Tribulations

The Howard County Fire & Rescue is hosting its annual flag football charity event, and this year they have a special participant. The FDNY is sending a team for the first time since 9/11 (they lost several men at the WTC). As a show of thanks and support, the Howard County Fire & Rescue has ordered a special cake for the event: a replica of a fire truck with a special 9/11 flag suspended from the back. The Baltimore Theater Group is asking Duff to create a replica of Cinderella's carriage. Rachel Stahm is getting married, but she wants to surprise her mother on her wedding day. Her mother is fanatic for all things Egyptian, so Rachel is presenting her with a birthday cake on the day of the wedding that will look like an Egyptian cat statue with hyroglyphics. An additional cake is a three-tier sushi cake.

13 :02x07 - Flying High

Geof's architectural skills are put to the test with a groom's cake in the shape of the Innsbruk, Austria Olympic ski slope. In addition to a replica of the tower next to the slope, the cake will feature the bride and groom on skis going down the mountain. Another complicated structure for Charm City Cakes. This is a surprise cake for a husband who has just received his pilot's license. His wife has ordered a cake in the shape of a Cessna 172 airplane. Fluid Movement is putting on Glitterama, the annual winter community theater talent show fundraiser, and Duff is going to do his own version of the Dance of the Seven Veils, but there's a twist: he's doing it with cake! Mary Alice had to choreograph and teach Duff the dance, while Duff, Katherine and the interns all work together on the actual cake. Afterward Duff and Mary Alice talk about how far they've come: "You know how many cakes we had this time last year? Seven!"

14 :02x08 - Milestones and Monuments

Duff and Geof are making a cake in the shape of a pile of tennis balls for Martina Navratilova's 50th birthday. Geof is a huge tennis fan, so Duff is going to bring him to the event and they will both present her the cake after her match at the Mercantile Tennis Challenge. Duff has been asked to be emcee of Baltimore's annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony with the mayor. Geof and Duff will create a replica of Baltimore's Washington Monument for Duff to present at the event. The event is being televised live and in true Duff form, he will light fireworks to shoot out of the cake! Duff is making a cake for the 40th wedding anniversary of the parents of one of his college friends. He considers this couple his surrogate Jewish parents here in Baltimore. They are having a party and have invited Duff. It was Duff's idea to surprise them with a cake.

15 :02x09 - Cake-Tastrophe

It's a busy week for Charm City Cakes. This week they're busting out 40 cakes (last year at this same time they only had seven on the books). Duff has been brought in by Starbucks to make a special holiday cake at Union Station in Washington, DC. After days of working around the clock, Duff and his team have created a train that looks like it's made of gingerbread. Duff delivers the train to scenic Union Station, where he adds the finishing touches before an audience of hundreds. It's a teenage girl's 16th birthday and her mom has ordered a goth cake, complete with skulls, spiders, etc., to celebrate. Mom is driving all the way from North Carolina to pick up the cake. Charm City has been invited to make three massive cakes for a guy's "Big Fat Greek Birthday." One of the cakes is an old theater with "It's a Wonderful Life" adorning the marquee; another cake is a girl sipping a soda at a soda fountain.

16 :02x10 - Shell Shocked

Becky Smith is graduating and she has ordered a cake from Charm City Cakes for her big party.

17 :02x11 - Playing Games

Charm City is making a cake in the shape of a Scrabble Board for a client's mother.

18 :02x12 - The Super Cake

Duff is Miami-bound to make a cake for the NFL's Super Bowl party. Can he and his team pull off the largest cake Charm City has ever seen?

19 :02x13 - Dr. Duff

Birthdays and doctors are the theme this week. The team has been enlisted by a radiology company to create a cake in the shape of a CT scanner, with a patient inside!

20 :03x01 - Wedding Bells and Shotgun Shells

Mary Smith works on decorating an elaborate wedding cake for staff member Sherri; Elena makes a beaver cake for Mr. Beaver; Geof's recreates the sinking of the Titanic for his "disaster cake"; Katherine helps Geof make a Sutton Hoo helmet.

21 :03x02 - Tattoos and Traditions

The staff goes on a field trip to a tattoo museum; cakes are made to replicate a duck hunt, an armadillo and frogs on a lily pad.

22 :03x03 - Mary (Alice) Go Round

Ben and Anna work on a bi-plane birthday cake complete with a golfer figurine standing on its wing; the whole staff works on a carousel show piece for Asbury Park's 110th anniversary celebration; Geof replicates Union Memorial Hospital in cake for its 100th birthday.

23 :03x04 - Challenge Road Trip

Duff, Geof, and Mary Alice go to Denver to judge an extreme cake decorating contest for Food Network Challenge; Geof creates a replica of a bar called Max's on Broadway; Anna works on a groom's cake that features pictures and poems that the groom wrote when he was young.

24 :03x05 - Rock & Roll

Special cakes are for an Armed Forces Foundation gala. Also, a pirate ship wedding cake; a rock-n-roll amplifier cake.

25 :03x06 - Wishes Granted

The Make-a-Wish foundation arranges for a 9 year old girl from Texas to hang out at Charm City and bake a cake with Duff. Also, a bride and groom's children design their wedding cake; an airline cake painted like the Maryland state flag.

26 :03x07 - Stadium Games and Eating Brains

Cake replicas of Camden Yards and the Baltimore Ravens M&T Bank Stadium are created. Also, a cake sculpture of a birthday-boy's head with two zombies eating his brain.

27 :03x08 - Battleships and Birthdays

A cake shaped like the Tower of London is created for author Tom Clancy's birthday; Clancy makes a Chesapeake Bay themed wedding cake for his college room mate; a replica of King Tut's sarcophagus is made.

28 :03x09 - Charm and Charities

Duff makes another cake for the Maryland Zoo's Zoomerang fund-raising gala--this one inspired by the elephants. Also, a lighthouse cake that lights up; a replica of a Baltimore city block.

29 :03x10 - Uncle Sam Wants Duff

The Army orders a replica of an M1 tank for its birthday; Ben creates a cigar-filled humidor for a husband's surprise 30th birthday party; Anna makes a four-tier wine-themed cake for a wedding.

30 :03x11 - Coach Duff

NBA star Carmelo Anthony invites Duff to coach a charity basketball tournament for kids and receives a trophy-shaped cake; Ben makes a replica of the USS Carney, a naval destroyer, for a husband's retirement from the Navy after twenty years of service; Geof makes a piano for a jazz pianist's wedding.

31 :03x12 - Hairspray Premiere

Charm City Cakes provides a giant cake for the Baltimore premiere of Hairspray and followup with an interview with
the director John Walters. The crew also builds a cake based on the classic game "Operation."

32 :03x13 - Charm City Christmas

Duff, Mary Alice and Geof travel to NYC to meet with the exec's from Radio City Music Hall. They discuss the design of the cake Duff will be presenting at the 75th anniversary of the Rockette's Christmas spectacular. This puts Duff and gang in the Christmas spirit prompting them to decorate the bakery, pick secret santa's, share Christmas/Hanukkah stories and get their company Christmas photo taken.

33 :04x01 - The Harry Potter Cake

The LA premier of Harry Potter challenges Charem Cakes with their biggest cake to date. The crew builds a Hogwart's Castle cake with a surrounding lake.

34 :04x02 - Volcano Cakes and Mix Tapes

Katherine creates a Maui island, complete with a dry-ice volcano; Ben makes a moonbounce cake for a boy's birthday; Duff and Geof create a special cake for Sound Garden, a local record store.

35 :04x03 - Airplanes and Arks

A Noah's Ark cake is designed for a 13 year-olds Bat Mitzvah, which depicts a unicorn being left behind. Also, a subway car cake and a edible airplane cake is created.

36 :04x04 - Mascots and Mice

A couple from season two who had an engagement cake made is now getting married and want a wedding cake created. The wedding cake will be a four-tiered asymmetric blue and white cake, with the groom's cake featuring the Georgetown Hoya's mascot. A second cake will be truly unique, featuring a stack of French toast with a French mouse on top wearing a beret, a mime shirt and clutching a cigarette.

37 :04x05 - The Spy Who Caked Me

Duff has been asked to design a cake for Roger Moore's 80th birthday as he is scheduled to be presented the goodwill ambassador award at the UN Building in New York City.

Also, the gang is asked to make a cake featuring The Exorcist famous bedroom scene, and next, a special cake for the Girl Scouts of America using only their cookies.

38 :04x06 - Skaters and Speedsters

A special cake is made for the birthday of All Pro skater and skateboard designer Kris Markovich. Plus, a four tiered fall season wedding cake and an cute, "over the top" baby shower cake are designed. Then, a replica cake is made of a 365 Porsche Speedster, just like the one owned by a neighbor from Geof's childhood.

39 :04x07 - Celebration Week

Cake creations include one shaped like a tuning fork which commemorates a doctor restoring a man's hearing, a coffee and cocktail themed 21st Birthday Cake, and a cake celebrating the 200th anniversary of Mount Saint Mary's University shaped like the Bicentennial Clock Tower.

40 :04x08 - Police Cars and Wine Bars

A replica cake of a police car with working lights and siren is created for a police captain's retirement party. Then, a $6,000 a plate dinner has a cake designed in the shape of a life sized magnum of wine is made for charity. Also, a cake designed as a basket of yarn and a Harley Davidson motorcycle for a 60th birthday party.

41 :04x09 - Avenue Q Cake

Duff creates a cake commemorating the arrival of the Tony award-winning musical Avenue Q in Baltimore. The crew get a backstage tour to meet with the cast and take a closer look at the puppets.

A grandma's 90th birthday is worth two cakes, one in the shape of a classic blue convertible and another as a new Jeep. Also, a pair of medical cakes are created in the form of a CT Scanner and a leg in a cast.

The staff creates an intricate cake for the Broadway premiere of Cry-Baby; Duff goes on Paula Deen's show and presents her with a blues guitar cake made by Geof; Guy Fieri comes to the bakery and marvels at a hamburger cake made for him; Geof recreates the Comcast Center, a skyscraper, which is the tallest cake in Charm City history.

Duff and Geof head to a charity bake sale in Minnesota to create the world's largest cupcake (literally); Mary Smith makes a roulette wheel for a "Casino Night" charity in Baltimore; Ben and Katherine create a replica of the Charm City Cakes building for a wedding.

Ben and Katherine make a book cart for a library conference; Mary Smith and Ben make a tower of boys for a set of twins' first birthday, which Duff delivers in a pink elephant costume; the author of "Liberty's Blueprint" gets his book made into a cake.

The staff members work collectively on a cake for the premiere of Kung-Fu Panda in LA; Katherine makes a wedding cake of a blue crab sitting on top of a pizza.

Duff makes a four-foot replica of a shark ray named Sweet Pea for her third birthday; Ben and Sherri work on a Neapolitan mastiff cake; Elena creates a rubber ducky holding a machine gun.

50 :05x06 - Pinball Wizard

Ben and Elena replicate a pinball machine for a pinball convention; Katie Rose and Anna make a wedding cake featuring Diana the Huntress; Geof makes a groom's cake in the shape of Fenway Park while Katherine works on the traditional wedding cake to accompany it.

Mary Smith creates a Hawaii-themed cake that incorporates a dry ice volcano; Elena makes a dirt bike cake for a boy's bar mitzvah; Ben constructs a replica of the Stanley Cup for two hockey fans' wedding, and the real trophy gets brought to Charm City for inspiration.

It's Milk-Bone's 100th birthday, and the staff is making a huge Milk-Bone box with Geof's dog, Cotton, painted on the front; Katherine makes a dachshund in a hot dog bun for a girl's birthday; new decorator Lauren recreates the bridge of the USS Enterprise from Star Trek.

Charm City Cakes bake up a cake for the Baltimore Zoo's gala black-tie fundraiser which is topped off with Giant Golden Tree Frogs. The bakery also create a replica of a Turducken and the Lincoln Memorial.

54 :05x10 - Get Cake

Duff, Mary Alice and Geof deliver a cake for a screening of Get Smart, starring Steve Carell; Katherine creates a cake for a man's 70th birthday, which he has decided to celebrate as a live wake; Ben and Anna work on an impact dynamometer.

55 :05x11 - Tanks, Trucks and Vikings

Lauren makes a tank cake for a soldier's wedding; Ben and Katherine make a Viking ship, the Gokstad, for the wedding of two Viking re-enactors; a couple requests one large cake and seventy-five small ones for their 50th anniversary; staff members work on various vehicles, including a cop car, a convertible, and two eighteen-wheelers.

The staff creates a cake for Lebowskifest, a festival that celebrates the cult film The Big Lebowski; Elena recreates the Millennium Falcon from the film Star Wars for a man's birthday; Geof makes a traditional wedding cake for his sister's wedding.
