Shirley is a photographer who looks for a job with a top magazine edited by Gregson. To test her, he sends her to an exclusive men's club to get an interview.
American Shirley Logan, a roving photo-journalist, finds herself knee-deep in monocles covering her initial assignment in London for the magazine called World Illustrated. Her British editor, deftly and humorously played by John Gregson, believes her reportorial ingenuity is suspect and gives, her a real toughie — to interview a retired lord who resides at a club which has never allowed a female within its confines. Undaunted, Shirley unveils her Yankee shrewdness and gets her story. She enlists the
aid of a clutch of strippers who lend ample assistance as our ace photographer snaps pix of their lordships. The scripters even updated—and cleaned up—an old gag about buying copies of photographs.
