The moon, at noon, cannot be seen. Yet, it's there nonetheless. Mae (Takako Tokiwa), the unfortunate victim of a rape, who struggles to cope with the psychological scars of the traumatic attack. Helping her through the difficult times is Naoki (Yuji Oda) who, himself, must deal with his own painful past -- abandonment by his mother and the death of his father. Their scars aren't apparent, but the hurt is real.
