Each week a different host introduced rock-n-roll artists, who performed their current chart-toppers. The Hullabaloo Dancers would provide background movement, including the first instance of the girl-in-a-cage doing a perpetual frug. This weekly rock 'n roll variety show showcased some of the greast musical acts of the 1950's and 1960's. "Hullabaloo" seen on NBC was one of only 2 rock n' roll type music shows in the 1960's to air in prime-time along with "Shindig" on ABC TV. This series debuted on 12 January 1965 and aired 50 new episodes over 2 seasons ending its' run on 29 August 1966. The show was seen in 3 different time slots over the 2-year period that it was seen on TV which included:

January 1965 - May 1965 - Tuesday 8:30 to 9:30PM
June 1965 - August 1965 - Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00PM
