A sad story about Nestor, a donkey with ears that are so long that he trips over them. Because of this, he is ostracized by all others except his mother. One night Nestor is thrown out in the cold and snow all alone. His mother, trying to protect him from the cold dies, leaving Nestor on his own. He is guided by a cherub, who tells him his ears will come in handy one day and he will protect someone as his mother protected him. He soon is picked to carry out a very important task, carrying Mary to Bethlehem.
