  Episode Quotes
Tony: Chance is a wonderful thing. Look, you know like subatomic particles don't obey physical laws? They act according to chance, chaos, coincidence? They run into each other in the middle of the universe somewhere - and bang - energy. We the same as they. That's the great thing about the universe: unpredictable. That's why it's so much fun.

Cassie: It's your choice, Sid. Everything is your choice, Sid. Wake up, Sid.
Sid: Bollocks...

(Tony enters Sid's room unannounced and finds him masturbating)
Tony: I'm gonna go out and come back in.
Sid: Would you?

Sid: You freak me out sometimes.
Tony: But it's never dull, is it?

Mark: (to Sid) Say "goodbye" to sunshine, sunshine - you are grounded!

(Maxxie is wearing devil horns)
Cassie: Wow, Maxxie, you look all horny.
Maxxie: You can tell?

Mark: (referring to history coursework) Did Tony fail this?
Sid: No
Mark: No of course not, and why, why didn't he fail it?
Sid: He doesn't do history.

Tom: There are people here you can talk to. I am here for you. We can sort this out. I'm all ears, come on.
Sid: Well, we can start with the fact that my best mate wants me to make a move on his girlfriend, who I love, even though she still really loves him and now actually hates me and my dad thinks I'm a complete fuck-up and can't stop acting like a fuck-up and no matter what I try, I can't stop pissing everyone off. Sort that out, can we?

Mark: You're going to get something right if it's the last thing I ever do! What's the next class?
Sid: Drama.
(Mark starts prodding Sid in his side)
Mark: Right. Drama. Home. Coursework. Fucking perfection. Or else.
Sid: Why are you talking in very short sentences?
Mark: Emphasis. Drama. Fuck off.
(Mark storms off. Sid is clearly hurt by his father's treatment of him and seems to blink away tears)

Mark: (referring to Sid) Leaving it up to me to deal with Captain fucking Calamity up there.

Mark: (to Liz; referring to Sid) The boy's useless. Completely fucking useless. I sometimes wonder if he's even mine!

(Tony is just after leaving the Jenkins house. Mark, Sid's father, stares at his sons for several seconds)
Sid: What?
Mark: (quietly) Why couldn't you be more like...? Why can't I...?
(Sid just stares back at his father, offended that he seems to prefer Tony over him)

Mark: No telly. No stereo. No Asian fanny fun! That should help you concentrate. Will it?
Sid: (quietly; depressed) Yes, Dad.
