Animal Hospital was hosted by Rolf Harris, Shauna Lowery and Steve Knight. The first series was broadcast live and was known as Animal Hospital Live. The series followed the lives of vets working at the RSPCA's Sir Harold Harmsworth Memorial Hospital in Holloway. The second series was known as Animal Hospital Week.
During 1998 6 special episodes were filmed under the name of Animal Hosptal Roadshow and at this point Rhodri Williams replaced Steve Knight as one of the show's hosts. Later presenters also included Jamie Darling and Edwina Silver.
