Two contestants played for prizes in two games, a $750 game and a
$2,000 game. In the $750 game, contestants tried to get as many
prizes without going over the $750 limit. Four prizes were displayed
and the first person would pick a prize, the next contestant had to
replace it with a numbered prize. Sometimes that prize was a "blank check"
that made that contestant buy anywhere from 1 to a specified number of that
prize (1 to 100 cases of Dads Root Beer, for example). Contestants were
to "Say When" they want to stop getting prizes and that's where they would
stop. The contestant with the most money in prizes won the game and
would advance to the $2,000 game. Another two contestants competed
in another $750 game with the same rules. The winner of that game
played the other $750 game winner in the $2,000 game, played by the
same rules as the $750 games. The winner of this game returned as
champion and the loser still got to keep the prizes from the $750 game.
