Haruka Amami dreams of becoming an international pop sensation, and when she’s accepted to become a contestant on a new singing show, she believes she’s one step closer to achieving her dream. However, she soon discovers that the application process was a front for a government agency that trains pilots into using mechs, known as IDOLs, in order to protect the world from external threats, such as space debris that would otherwise destroy many cities. The thing is, each IDOL chooses its pilot, who has to be female, though will Haruka Amami have what it takes to become one of the elite?
