Balsa is on a journey to save the lives if the innocent, in hopes of paying retribution for her committed sins. However, when she one day saves a prince, he requests that she becomes his bodyguard. While she is reluctant at first, she soon changes her mind when she discovers that his father, the emperor, has put a bounty on his head.
