This serie is a direct copycat of Life on Mars with a skirt??? they even stuffed in the same actors?? LOL

Angel is a spinoff of Buffy, same basic world, different story.
Joey is a spinoff of Friends for the same reason.
Even Torchwood is a spinoff of Dr Who.
But in my book: a spinoff is taking 1 character of a succesful serie and explore the life and solo adventures of this character.
In the case of Ashes: you take exactly the same plot, the same backgroup actors cast (playingthe same roles...) and you put a women in the place of the Men from Mars.
So beside the fact that Men from Mars crashed in flame at the second season...=> that's not a spinoff...that's a : "back to the drawing board, better luck this time with the boobs?"
So who's behind this series? The Bowie fan club?
And yes, for thoses who would not have understood: i'm a great fan to both theses series, the accent of thoses 70" 80" cops are hillarious, makes my day evrytime
