London, England is the site for many haunting ghost stories, but behind each myth lies the truth. Victorian times brought with it violent crimes, extreme poverty and lawlessness which forced the Londoners to bond to survive. As the church felt challenged by the medical and scientific advances at the time, and disease and overpopulation drove the poverty stricken to do the jobs only the devil could endure. From body snatchers to serial killers to occult clubs and pagan rituals, Londoners lived both above and below ground to their own set of rules.
