Hunter (1977)

Show Tidbits
"Hunter" originally was done as a 90-minute show and apparently the producers felt it wouldn't be ready on time. Additional shooting on it was done after the other episodes were completed.

"Hunter" didn't start out as a secret agent show at all. A one-hour, suspense drama of that name was produced and scheduled to air on CBS by September 1975. Then CBS decided to change the characters and make a secret agent series. And yanked the original drama off its schedule.

In the original, Hunter was an ex-convict who was out to get his former employer who had framed him. Franciscus played the part of the ex-con, and Miss Evans was in it, too, as a prostitute. They both came up in the world then.
