A send up of old gothic horror tales finds Helen Blacke living in a huge stone mansion located on an Island off the coast of Massachusetts, which she inherited when her husband died in a laboratory explosion. Now, despite the obvious plots by all who surround her to murder the widow Blacke, she carries on with her everyday life.
