The Garry Moore Show was hosted by the talented, well-known radio performer, Garry Moore. This series was an adaptation of the earlier version of his show that ran in the early 1950s. It featured a fun format of monologues, comedy skits, music and singing, and some interaction with the studio audience. The show introduced Allen Funt's "Candid Camera" spots, which were a regular feature of the series, and a popular segment called "That Wonderful Year." The Garry Moore Show helped launch the comedy careers of a number of people, including Carol Burnett, Jonathan Winters, and Don Knotts. |
