Birdman (Ray Randall), voiced by Keith Andes
Birdman is a superhero with various powers that he must recharge by exposure to the sun. At one point he offered thanks to "the great spirit Ra" for his powers. Whether this Ra is the same Ra that ancient Egyptians worshiped as a sun god is unclear. Birdman can fly, and this is his usual means of travel; he flies fast enough to get almost anywhere in the world very quickly. He can project solar rays, erect shields that can deflect most attacks, and can generate great heat and brilliant flashes sufficient to dazzle many foes. His singular weakness is his dependence on the sun. If he uses too much power too fast his energy will become depleted, a fact his enemies routinely exploit. A quick trip to the sun, or even sometimes brief exposure to its rays, soon recharges him. He has a friend/companion, a gigantic purple eagle named Avenger, who has saved him from sticky situations more than once. Birdman takes his orders from the mysterious Falcon 7, who usually relays his requests via a special television circuit with a receiver located in Birdman's secret lair. Birdman makes his lair in the caldera of a dormant volcano, where he is surrounded by sophisticated machinery that he never seems to use for much. An irising door in the top of the caldera opens to allow access to the space. At least one of his enemies, Mentok the Mind-Taker, knows the location of this base, for he once built a base of his own nearby specifically so that he could seize control of Avenger's mind. |

Avenger, voiced by [unknown person]
Avenger is an enormous purple eagle (although in at least one episode his species was said to be golden eagle). He wears a version of Birdman's crest on a neckband, and usually accompanies Birdman on his crime fighting adventures. Many times when Birdman finds himself powerless and imprisoned, Avenger comes to his rescue. Avenger can understand simple commands and can harass enemies. |

Falcon 7, voiced by Don Messick
Falcon 7 works for a mysterious and unnamed arm of the government, or sometimes for an international authority. Although the United States is never mentioned, several episodes take place at The Pentagon, its singularly large an imposing defense headquarters. Some accident claimed Falcon 7's left eye, and he wears a patch over it now. Birdman has met Falcon 7 in person, though this is a rare occurrence. |

Vapor Man, voiced by Don Messick
Vapor Man is a native of the planet Vaporus. Like others of his species, he can manipulate gasses and vapors, projecting fiery vapors, freezing vapors, corrosive vapors and other chemicals. He can transform himself to a gaseous form, in whole or in part (most useful for evading attacks). Not all from Vaporus have these powers to the same degree - Vapor Man is one of the more skilled individuals. He is the generally accepted leader of the Trio, often issuing orders to the other two. |

Gravity Girl, voiced by Virginia Eiler
Gravity Girl is the only female member of the Galaxy Trio. She is from the planet Gravitas, and is the daughter of that planet's king, making her (technically) a princess. She has the ability to alter the effect of gravity on objects at range, an ability she usually uses to lift heavy objects. She can also fly, presumably by altering the effect of gravity on her own body. |

Meteor Man, voiced by Ted Cassidy
Meteor Man hails from the planet Meteorus, and has the ability to alter the size of any portion of his body, independently of the other parts. He often uses this ability to make his fists larger for the purpose of bludgeoning enemies, and he sometimes makes only his legs larger so that he can run fast enough to keep up with Vapor Man and Gravity Girl. Meteor Man is exceptionally tough, able to withstand the impact of tank shells, and very strong, able to topple large opponents with little effort. |
