Season 7
80 :07x01 - Elegant European Entrance (Oct/21/2004)
Julie and Scott Firestone are proud owners of a French colonial home. They have restored the interior to keep true to 1930s details, but the front entryway doesn't match up to this timeless beauty. The Firestones hope a new entrance will properly set the stage for their grand home.

81 :07x02 - Outback Aussie Oasis (Oct/28/2004)
Steve and Michele Lumley moved to the States several years ago from their native Australia. Although they have adapted well to their American lifestyle, they would like reminders of Australia to highlight their backyard, which desperately needs renovating. A dull concrete deck and outdated pool currently dominate the yard. The Lumleys would like to soften the backyard and create more functional space to play and entertain.

82 :07x03 - Welcoming Cottage Garden (Nov/04/2004)
Since they purchased their 1950s home 10 years ago, Paul and Cyndi Nesmith have spent the time in a state of major home renovation. Only the neglected front yard has escaped their touch and presently doubles as the neighborhood playground for kids on dirt bikes. Embarrassed by their uninviting yard, the Nesmiths are eager to take action and make their yard the talk of the neighborhood.

83 :07x04 - Garden With a View (Nov/11/2004)
Ed Jakl felt a strong connection with his 1950s ranch-style home when he purchased it six months ago. The interior has a relaxed, woodsy feel and features an almost spectacular mountain view through its large living room window. If it were not for the uncontrollable front yard muddling up the foreground, Ed would truly be content with his wonderful new abode. He is anxious to clear away the tangled mess of ivy and create a welcoming front garden that he can relax and entertain in.

84 :07x05 - Tropical Symphonic Sanctuary (Nov/18/2004)
Musicians Julia and Richard enjoy creating warm musical touches inside their Mission-inspired home. They also love to throw a good party. They want to be able to entertain in their backyard, and they also want their beloved animals--a toy terrier and an African grey parrot--to feel at home in the new landscape. With professional design help, Richard and Julia believe that their empty backyard will soon become a lush space for all to enjoy.

85 :07x06 - Tranquil Backyard Retreat (Dec/09/2005)
Marla spends a lot of time out in the working world and is always thrilled to return home to her modernized ranch-style home. The interior has been exquisitely updated and artfully enhanced at every turn--all the way to the back door and there it stops. Outside, the large backyard has been all but ignored, hardly worthy of the incredible canyon views. Marla imagines a tranquil extension of her home, a contemporary but dreamy atmosphere where she can relax in a pool and take in the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall.

86 :07x07 - A Home To View (Mar/23/2005)
Kit and Corinna Albert head up a large bustling family, and their backyard and pool keep them well entertained. Most of their home's interior has been refinished, but the front yard is crying out for a much needed makeover. A monstrous green hedge hides the view of the house from the street, and the yard is dominated by large masses of green. The Alberts would like to create a truly welcoming and colorful entrance to their home.

87 :07x08 - Outdoor Entertaining Room (Mar/23/2005)
Maria and Paul Kaye love the authentic details of their 1920s Craftsman-style home, but the stark backyard does not have the same easy flow as the home's interior. In the 2-1/2 years that the Kayes have lived in their house, they have only once used the backyard for eating and have never used it for entertaining. Paul and Maria want to spend many cozy evenings in a new garden space.

88 :07x09 - Family-Friendly Fun (Apr/13/2005)
Kate and Patrick Amsbry and their two active young sons recently relocated from another state and are now happily settled into their traditional 1910 Craftsman-style home. The Amsbrys adore their new home but the backyard could use some work to better suit their needs. Patrick and Kate would like to give their growing boys more space to play, and they’d like to have an adult area in which to relax and dine. The Amsbrys are eager to make their yard over into the ideal getaway for the whole family.

89 :07x10 - Classic Family Oasis (Apr/27/2005)
Richard and Catherine Corlin purchased their stunning English country manor 8-1/2 years ago and completely renovated its interior. While they fell in love with the home's authentic 1920s exterior, they found the ordinary backyard unsuitable for their three growing boys and two rambunctious dogs. The Corlins imagine a dramatic pool and entertainment area that embraces the needs of their family, yet reflects the classic architecture of their grand abode.

90 :07x11 - Low-Maintenance Zen Garden (Apr/06/2005)
Sarah is a career woman who has made her mid-century home a refuge from her busy lifestyle. She loves to entertain but the space for that is currently limited to her small kitchen and living room. She would like to extend her relaxing environment to the backyard and transform that area into a great entertaining space. Plus, she wants a more inviting, low-maintenance yard.

91 :07x12 - Luscious Poolside Retreat (Apr/20/2005)
Sophie and David Levine love the feel of their canyon ranch-style home with its flowing rooms and spacious kitchen. Its huge window looks out onto the hillside yard where they spend many hours frolicking by the pool with their adorable daughter Frankie. If it were not for the endless sea of mismatched concrete in this outdated space, the picture would be perfect for this fun-filled bunch. The Levine family is anxious to leave this prison motif behind and create a soft and luscious poolside retreat they could spend even more time in.

92 :07x13 - Hillside Paradise (May/04/2005)
Jeannie and Chad are a very busy career couple who both work from home. They have a great view of their hillside yard from just about every room in the house, but their potentially beautiful yard needs lots of help. Since their dog Archie is a major part of their lives, they need the yard to be dog friendly. They would also love to have lots of comfortable space for entertaining with family and friends, and a tropical theme is a must.
