Twenty-somethings Olivia Campbell (Christina Milian), Riley McGann (Anna Chlumsky), Ben Bradley (Johnny Lewis) and Daniel "Sarge" Sargent (Robert Ri'chard) are best friends living in New York City working low-paying, entry-level jobs with egocentric, demanding bosses. Riley has a job with a narcissistic website entrepreneur Nathan Bloom; Sarge is an assistant for Peter Lee, a hedge fund operator; Ben is a budding musician by night and a assistant to Randi Rome, a publicist, by day; and Olivia left her promising career as a lawyer to pursue art, and is now working as a receptionist for Marjorie Walsh, a cold-hearted gallery owner. But at the end of the day, the support and friendship that binds these individuals keeps them sane -- they may not have money, but they have each other.
