 "Ensign O'Toole" Summary

Military comedy that aired on NBC during the 1962-63 season and ran for 32 episodes. Dean Jones starred in the title role as a Navy officer on board the destroyer USS Appleby. O'Toole was a slick operator in almost everything except his military duties. Jay C. Flippen, Harvey Lembeck, Jack Albertson, and Beau Bridges were among the show's co-stars. Despite a decent cast of actors, the show made no one forget Sgt. Bilko.
