AWE Overload

AWE Overload

AWE Overload (Action Wrestling Entertainment) was a weekly series shown on the “Fight Network” in Canada. It debuted on 2 February 2006 but because of very low ratings and viewership it lasted only 7 weeks (7 shows) and it last aired on 13 February 2006. The Action Wrestling Entertainment promotion itself was originally formed in March 2005. The series itself was taped at the Investors Group Athletic Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and was the first ever wrestling show from Canada to be seen on a National TV Network. The shows could also been seen a week later on their official website on the Internet. A few of the better-known stars that appeared on this short lived show were, Billy Gunn, Billy Kidman, Brian Christopher, Buff Bagwell, Chuck Palumbo, Dan Severn, Jamie Noble, Johnny Devine, Lex Luger, Rikishi and The Steiner brothers.
