It's the year 2307, all of earth's fossil fuels have been depleted which has led mankind to solar power, there are three orbital elevator which possesses solar power generation and they are each controlled by a different "superpowers", the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations (formerly United States of America), the Human Reform League (Russia, China and India) and the Advanced European Union. That has led to a lot of conflict as not every country get to have solar energy and out of all that conflict the organization Celestial Being was born, it's motive is to end all warfare using the Mobile Suits by the name of Gundam.
