Westenwind is about two shipbuilding businesses. Two competing Dutch families, Noordermeer and De Graaf, running the ancestral firms in the Rotterdam. The family Noordermeer is doing very well, but the family De Graaf is having some financial problems. When a love relationship between a daughter of one and a son of the other family, the tensions between the families increase.
