	The writers seem to enjoy revealing not just the sleaze of England's past ( which for the most part is the same dull stuff as the sleaze of every nations past ... and present and probable future ) but also in exposing the quirks and customs of an age that is just alien enough to be entertaining. This first show is about the recruitment and retirement arrangements of prostitutes. One entertaining aspect in the show is the computer generated VR map of London morphing into some fairly well made ( or perhaps well preserved ) sets of the city.
