Recap

Grady Edlund and three of the hands have taken off into the mountains ten days ago and haven't been seen since. Grady's older son Derek is getting ready to ride out, telling his younger brother Tim he'll be fine. Their uncle Rowdy disagrees, pointing out the weather on the mountain is bad. Derek accuses Rowdy of not caring and Rowdy prepares to ride out himself despite a bad leg. He goes to tell his sister-in-law, Helena, that he's leaving to search for husband, and complains about how Grady has never kept the place up. As they talk, a figure staggers out of the woods: Grady, skeletally thin and frostbitten...
