Edward: That all depends. Did the Angels beat the White Sox?

Edward: They don't let you smoke anymore. Next thing you know, they'll stop being rude.

Character Names: Henry Spivey and Edward Albright

The character names are a reference to the novel Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In the novel, the two alter egos are named Dr. Henry Jekyll and Mr. Edward Hyde.

Tom is referecing the 1966 shooting at The University of Texas in which shooter Charles Whitman climbed to the top of a bell tower with a sniper rifle, killing 14 and wounding 31.
