NBC Axes My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle
| Quote: | Multiple reliable sources have just confirmed that NBC has given the ax today to My Own Worst Enemy (starring Christian Slater) and Lipstick Jungle (starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price).
NBC is not commenting. However, insiders say that no further episodes have been ordered for either series. |
It sucks to see the show get cancelled. Christian Slater is perfect in the role. Of course NBC will keep the awful Knight Rider up and going... |

But . . . I like it
If only it were on FOX. Then I'd be less surprised that something I enjoy's again being taken away from me...
Any chance the entire thing's been filmed already and we'll be able to buy it on DVD? |

Nooooo!! It wasn't even doing that badly ratings-wise. Thanks, NBC. I still haven't watched this week's episode, and now I don't even want to. |

The Futon Critic is saying both My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle will finish out their episode orders -- 9 for MOWE and 13 for LJ. |

From another link I read it was doing that bad in ratings about a 1.8 from what the Live Feed said. Heroes didn't provide the lead-in the networks expected as well and Heroes also struggled in the ratings which was a bad sign. Sadly MOWE would have been canceled even on a different network. They did invest time and money in promoting the show. It's too bad it didn't get the bigger audience. Christian was great in this and after listening at a couple of interviews of the show he seemed to enjoy himself. |

Ouch. For some reason, I had it in my head that it was doing OK in the ratings.
With this show and Lipstick Jungle gone, I hope the extra space in the schedule will at least help Chuck get renewed for another season. |
