Good show if a little preachyRating: 2 likes, 3 dislikes
I watched the show as it aired from the CBC. As an American I have found it to be a little cloying at times. Too emotional and tenderhearted... I would expect big-city EMTs to be a bit more jaded. The acting, cinematography and direction are really high quality. The interplay between the characters feels true. There are some classic Steven Bochco style elements, the same kind of stressors one would expect on one of his shows. These end up being the backdrop for some moral lesson. In-spite of the well trodden path the the moral tales go down the show delivers them in a creative manner. Over all I find the show has had a good start and think it will likely stretch the boundaries as time goes on.
