Step It Up and Dance

The newest reality TV series is “Step Up and Dance” also called at times by a shorter title of “Step It Up” that debuted on the BRAVO TV Network on Thursday, 3 April 2008 at a special time of 11PM, est. This is another one of those talent search competition shows to find great dancers. The producers of 2 of Bravo’s biggest hits also reality shows in “Project Runway” and “Top Chef” are collaborating on this the newest show to debut on the network. The series begins with 12 amateur dancers, 6 males and 6 females who are vying to become professional dancers. Each week they dance and 3 judges will rate their routines and each week 1 dancer is voted off the show. The eventual winner of the series goes away with a prize of $100,000.00.

The host of this new series is the very beautiful and sexy actress and dancer Elizabeth Berkley. Jerry Mitchell who has won a Tony award for his directing and choreography will be the contestants mentor. The 3 judges are Broadway director Jerry Mitchell, choreographer and director Vincent Patterson and the very beautiful choreographer, director and dancer Nancy O’Meara.
