Thomas has been married to Hester for thirty years and together they have three children: Anton, Marion and Boris. Anton will be continuator of his father and is married to Janneke. After an in-depth preparation at the institute Nijenrode, he now works in the top of the company. Marion and Boris still live at their parents and experiment with everything what that the riches in life have to offer even eachother.
Thomas begins an affair with Eliza, he used to have a relationship with her, but broke it off 20 years ago. Eliza has a young son called Jeroen.
When the family comes in possession of "De Blauwe Duivel" (The blue devil), bad luck hits. The family tries to get rid off the diamond, but this isn't as easy as it seems to be.
